WELCOME LEOS WE SERVE..............TOGETHER WE SERVE BETTER

It is for me both an honor and pleasure to invite you, on behalf of all Leos and Lions members in Ghana as well as in District 403A to participate in this year’s International Youth Camp scheduled to take place in Ghana from August 6 – 11, 2007.
The 2007 Leo International Youth Camp in Winneaba, Ghana promises to be one of the most interesting and exciting camp venues. Campers will have a lot to experience, savour and reminisce about.
Ghana is known for its unique tourist attractions in the Sub-region – beautiful landscape, rich cultural and historical heritages, friendly and fun loving people and a variety of Ghanaian dishes (culinary). This is the first time ever that such an important Leo District Programme will be hosted by Ghana. Ghana Leos, Lions and Ghanaians at large are waiting to show their famous Ghanaian hospitality to their visiting Leo campers, friends and Lions.
We look forward to seeing you all in August 2007!

LION DANIEL ASAFRA TIBU
CHAIRMAN, ORGANISING COMMITTEE
3RD INTERNATIONAL YOUTH CAMP.

The Central Region is the former government centre of the Gold Coast. Cape Coast was the seat of the British colonial administration up until 1877. The coastline is famous for its ancient forts and castles built by early European traders, and three of them at Elmina, St. Jago and Cape Coast.

And this is the region we are having the 3rd International Youth Camp, Winneaba.

The Region is also famous for its palm-fringed beaches, fascinating fishing villages and historic towns, and rich natural attractions. Kakum National Park, just 30km north of Cape Coast, is the foremost nature reserve in Southern Ghana where will visit also and take a tour on the famous canopy walk way. Almost untouched virgin rainforest has been preserved as a habitat for birds, butterflies and rare local animals.

The historic towns in the region that deserve a visit include Winneba and that is precisely where we will base for the camping. traditionally known as 'Simpa' Winneba.

Throughout the Central Region there are welcoming hotels and restaurants, all an easy drive. If you are seeking to have the best of fun and camping experience for a life time then don't be a drop out on this interesting LEO camp expedition. And don't forget to come along with your swim suits because there is going to be lots and lots of fun on the sun-dappled beaches. LEOS be there!!!!! and lets educate ourselves and enjoy.
